Boqil
Boqil's goal is to create unique objects that are a cross betweensculpture and design. The Boqil team are inspired by the ethos of the design art movement which recognises the value of hand-made limited editions one-off prototypes and design experiments. When they design a new product they set out to either make completely new forms or to transform a mundane everyday object into the realm of an art. An example of this approach can be seen within the Trashkova range of bins, umbrella stands and stools. Boqil was formed in 2008 by Aya Hatano and Tim Stone out of a desire to have an outlet for their shared design, sculpture and product ideas.
