Menu spans back to 1979 when Simon Hansen established the family-owned company Danish Steel House, which supplied steel products to the catering industry. In 1988 Bjarne Hansen developed the company's famous Irish coffee set. Innovative design which, in a single stroke, becomes an impressive, international sales success. The Danish steel house became Menu in 1998, the designer Pernille Vea was employed, and the development of unique, top-selling design products took off. Today Menu's permanent design team consist of Pernille Vea, Jakob Wagner and Christian Bjorn.
