ribbon candelabra S-S
shin azumi for innermostdimensions: 30 x 18 x 30cm
Designed by Shin Azumi, the Ribbon Candelabra from Innermost has grace and simplicity. It is exquisitely made from stainless steel with a highly polished mirror finish.
The ribbon candelabra is a feat in highly finished manufacture, with continuous line and not a seam to be found.
The ribbon candelabra from innermost is quite simply an understated and unique masterpiece, in both engineering and design.
from Innermost:
Inspired by the challenge of creating a 21st century redesign of the candlestick, Shin came up with a work of grace and simplicity, a design that would still be relevant 200 years into the future; something people would use and pass on to the next generation.
The simplicity of form is deceiving in its complexity, it took a long time to get the complex tooling right, with several failed tooling attempts before some clever innovations solved the issues. The ribbon candelabra is produced with virtually no wastage, being produced in a single material by a single process, that if not formed correctly, is returned to the smelter, If damage occurs during polishing they are either polished further, or returned to the smelter.
.Carefully packaged in its own velvet bag and sturdy black gift box.

innermostInnermost was founded in 1999 by designers Steve Jones and Russell Cameron in London. They collaborate with a huge reservoir of design talent, particularly from London, and although they initially focused on lighting they have since built a much wider collection.
Launching any design is always a hard task; the simplest of objects always hide the pain that went into their creation. As Innermost points out, every designer that brings them a valuable idea has a different feeling about the object and it is Innermost's job to balance and manage these needs and make sure the market understands, accepts and desires them.
Today Innermost has two parts, one focuses on crafting what you see and the other on doing this same thing for a select group of quality clients, contributing manufacturing and design consultancy to other peoples ranges and projects.
At last count they were involved in projects or had distribution in 32 countries... (quite a challenge when you consider most of them seemed to want a different kind of plug!). This internationalism is reflected in the origins of the designers whose Innermost represents, now coming from 12 different nations.
"The world we have discovered is packed with talented people. The more we travel the more we see, the more interesting people we meet, truly a privileged journey."
-Steve Jones, Russell Cameron and the Innermost team.
