Magis
Magis is the brand that has given a novel twist to domestic design, building its identity on incorporating leading edge technology into mass production. Founded in 1976 in the bustling north eastern corner of Italy by a newcomer to the furniture business, Eugenio Perazza, Magis is today a giant international design laboratory that constantly puts itself to the test, seeking technological sophistication and employing a highly diversified workforce.

Magis seizes the day. It embraces the creativity of leading global designers (Richard Sapper, Jasper Morrison, Stefano Giovannoni, Marc Newson, Konstantin Grcic, Ron Arad, the Bouroullecs, Robin Day, Pierre Paulin, Jerszy Seymour, Naoto Fukasawa, Thomas Heatherwick and many others) and channels it towards objects perched on the cutting edge.

Magis is a Factory-free organization: in order to enhance the flexibility of its R&D activities, the company opted to outsource its manufacturing and relies on a local area teeming with skilled contractors. The challenge lying ahead of Magis is perhaps that of returning to simplicity, through the complexity of advanced technology.

Until a short while ago Magis was one of the few companies that manufactured objects in plastic - but today the number has increased considerably. Still, Magis uses the most advanced moulding technologies and techniques; it was the first company in the world to apply air moulding to aesthetical goods. Plastic will remain Magis' reference material, although it is now experimenting with others such as die-cast aluminium, aluminium metal sheet and wood.

Magis is characterised by the multiplicity of its expressive languages, its search for a deep meaning of the project, and its ethics instead of aesthetics. Ideas take 3 or 4 years to turn into products, and many projects are both difficult and complex, taking high risks. Projects are completed as long as they are supported by a high spirit of experimentation and elevated technical cleverness.

Magis works with very well-known designers, but it has always been open to work with young designers, even at the outset of their careers. Jean-Marie Massaud and Jerszy Seymour made their debut on the design scene thanks to the opportunities Magis gave them. Now Magis discovers new passions and punctually chases former design glories, adding them to the mix.

All orders are shipped through Australian Air Express which is barcoded and trackable. If the packed article is too large - it is then shipped via courier.

Standard shipping within Australia is a flat rate of AU$14.00 per order*
Express shipping within Australia is a flat rate of AU$26.00 per order*

Items marked as bulky item incur additional costs, calculated based on weight and size to your destination. Shiiping charges will be added to your order OR pick up from our Crows Nest warehouse.

special order items

Special order items cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty. Delivery times vary from a few days to 12+ weeks, a staff member will contact you to advise.

Standard delivery: up to 5-8 business days
Deliveries are made Monday through Friday only.
Express post ships over night, however please allow an extra day for processing and preparation of your order. Most express orders leave same day and we will contact you if this is not possible with your selection.

Please be aware that we are receiving online orders 24 hours a day, therefore the item you have selected may have sold out between updates of stock availability on the website.

delivery of your goods within Australia

All parcels are sent via Australian Air Express within Australia. All parcels need to be signed for on delivery, so we recommend use of a business address if there will not be someone home during business hours. If your parcel cannot be delivered you will receive a notification card and and you will need to make alternative arrangements for collection with the courier. If not collected, it may be returned to top3 by design and any re-delivery charges will be charged to the customer.

International deliveries + bulky items

All shipping is calculated as flat rate and quoted for Australian delivery. Any International deliveries or items marked as "bulky" or "additional shipping may apply" will be calculated based on goods and destination and charged at checkout. If, in the rare situation that delivery costs exceed your expectations and you wish to cancel the order, top3 by design will fully refund the amount currently charged to your card on that order.

RETURNS + EXCHANGES POLICY

Your satisfaction is our main concern. If you are unhappy with an item you can return it for an exchange, store credit or refund which will be issued in the same form as the original payment, within 14 calendar days of the receipt.

Customer satisfaction

It is very important to us that Top3 by design customers are satisfied with their purchase and understand our terms and conditions. Please read the following policy regarding returns and exchanges. If you remain in any way uncertain, please call or email us.

The product you return must be in: new, unused, pristine and unmarked condition, with all the original packaging in unmarked, saleable condition. Proof of purchase must be provided for all returns. Proof of purchase can be in the form of a receipt, credit card statement, or top3 membership ID if the item has been purchased on your top3 membership.

Special Order items (which are indicated online as such) are not able to be returned or exchanged, as they are ordered by customer request.

Products can be returned instore or to our warehouse. If you are sending the item back to the top3 warehouse please notify us before you return the item by phone (1300 867 333) or email (orders@top3.com.au) so we can provide you with a returns form and the instructions for returning your items. If you would like to request an exchange you can let us know at this time of your new selection, so we are able to reserve this for you.

Faulty items: If you receive an item that you consider to be flawed or faulty upon delivery, please contact us immediately to discuss its repair or replacement by either phone (1300 867 333) or email (orders@top3.com.au).

top3 by design is not responsible for any item that is not returned in a new, unused and unmarked condition. We do not sell imperfect items and will not accept the return of any item, which is considered marked or imperfect. Please also note that packaging is an inherent part of the product, and a full refund or credit will not be issued if the packaging is not returned.
