Punching bags are impractical and dartboards can be too dangerous to hang in the modern workplace - enter Cao Maru Stress Balls, designed by Makiko Yoshida.
Created for Japanese designers Plus-D, these quirky little problem solvers are available in four different facial expressions so you are certain to find one that best matches that irritating work colleague or grubby flatmate.
They also have a weird-yet-wonderful texture and feel great to the touch, while they make you feel better.
Although pricey at $55, they are made of durable polyurethane resin, and are much cheaper than therapy.
I have one on my desk and that pudgy little face takes a belting!
