Ben McCarthy
Born and raised in Sydney, Ben graduated from Industrial Design at UNSW, 2003. In the few years that followed he exhibited in Milan, Tokyo, London and across Australia. For some years Ben has worked abroad for some of the world's leading design studios. Despite a sabbatical in Milan in 2009, Ben calls Hong Kong home for the moment, and enjoys the proximity to the worlds largest manufacturing base.Ben McCarthy is Indesign Live's Hong Kong Editor and works with fellow Australian ex-pat designer, Michael Young.
The collaboration between Australian design brand Go Home and Ben McCarthy has spanned over eight years and has further projects underway.
Ben worked closely with Workshopped to produce the pi watch, an innovative steel face where subtle variations in the steel finish on the face provide the visual segments of time.
