Christiane Lemieux
As the founder and Creative Director of DwellStudio, Christiane Lemieux is responsible for much of the vision behind the contemporary textile-based collection that emerges from this U.S based company.Lemieux has studied art history and fashion design, both experiences contributing to her unique perspective and design approach. Lemieux cites her inspirations as travel (a Canadian native, she is always on the road searching for the sun), literature, the art world, and everything to do with design - from flea market trips, to magazines and even reality television.
Much of her inspiration is also drawn from her role as a mother to Isabelle, William, and Jake (the beautiful and lumbering lab featured through the DwellStudio site and blogs).
Lemieux injects this inspiration into her creations, creating bold and modern textile designs that move freely between family living spaces and nurseries.
