Daniel To + Emma Aiston
Daniel To and Emma Aiston met whilst studying Industrial Design at the University of South Australia. After both graduating in 2007, they spent almost 2 years gaining experience with various design studios in London, such as Marc Newson, Thorsten Van Elten and Committee. From there they established Daniel Emma.They were listed by Wallpaper* magazine in 2009 as one of the recent design graduates to watch and in 2010 awarded the Blueprint most promising talent at 100% design London as well as winning the Bombay Sapphire Australian Design Discovery award, 2010, the most prestigious design award in Australia.
Acheivements include: Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery 2010 - Winner, Most Promising Talent at 100% Futures London 2010 - Winner, Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery 2009 - Runner Up Creative Vibe Design competition 2009 - Runner Up, Wallpaper* graduate directory 2009 Exhibitions include 100% Design Tokyo Grand Prize Nomination 2008,Tokyo Designers Week 2010, 100% Design London 2010, Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Finalists 2009-2010, 100% Futures, London and Tokyo in 2008 + 2009 as well as many other local exhibtions in their hometown of Adelaide. Work experience includes work with (amongst others) Thorsten van Elten and Marc Newson.
